Artists often have the best collections. They trade with one another while participating in residencies out of mutual admiration and friendship. They want to live with artwork from their friends and interlocutors and rarely put anything in storage or sell it on the secondary market. That’s why when our friend Paul Mpagi Sepuya came to us with many works that he has collected this way over the years, we chose a broad range of different frame profiles and finishes to compliment the pieces that would be on view in his home for years to come.
